  • Overview

    Octagon Talent Solutions is seeking a Global Infrastructure Engineer in Los Angeles (LAX area) responsible for all IT infrastructure issues in the specific region, as well as around the globe. Day to day activities include managing the newly implemented complex Network Infrastructure, Active Directory architecture, DNS, digital delivery platforms such as Aspera and Signiant, complex storage systems such as NetApp and EMC Isilon/Celerra. In addition, this role will also be responsible for working to test, install, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware and software. As well as, helping to create documentation, diagrams and other detailed instructions to ensure our practices and configurations are easily referenced by other members of the team


    • Support business software and hardware platforms
    • Configure and maintain network and storage systems
    • Configure and maintain data center infrastructure
    • Provide 2nd/3rd line support to employees
    • Make crucial configuration changes on company systems, whilst following strict adherence to change management policies
    • Continuously ensure documentation is kept up to date after making system changes
    • Administer company storage, network and telephony systems
    • Support business software and hardware platforms
    • Configure and maintain network and storage systems
    • Provide 1st/2nd Line Support to employees in other remote locations anywhere necessary, globally.
    • Recommend infrastructure improvements to the IT manager
    • Administer company storage, network and telephony systems
    • Management of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance controls.
    • Work with Global IT teams to deliver key, high profile projects.
    • Work with Global IT teams to resolve issues in or outside the region
    • Travel may be required, so the candidate must be able to travel at relatively shortnotice.


    • Degree in Computer Networking, or similar equivalent
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate desirable
    • Microsoft MCITP
    • Other Microsoft qualifications desirable
    • ITIL v3 desirable


    • Microsoft software including Windows Server 2008/2012, O365 Administration,
    • Active Directory, Microsoft Office 2010/2013/2016 and other Microsoft platforms
    • Patch deployment systems: WSUS or SCCM.
    • Previous in-depth knowledge and experience of carrying out large domain migrations and consolations, using tools such as ADMT.
