    Octagon Talent solutions is looking for a Business Devlopment Manager for a fast growing Broadcast and Media company opening offices soon in Fort Lauderdale. The Business Development Manager will help shape the future of the business and product. Always on the hunt for new opportunities and opening closed doors, developing untapped geographical and functional markets or further evolve more mature grounds.




    • You manage the long sales cycles (several months to even several years) and you firmly keep control of business development, from the first contact to the implementation of the solution.


    • You succeed in building substantive long-term relationships and actively contribute to our longer term account management objectives.


    • You are supported by a professional team of pre-sales and business consultants.


    • To your customers as well as to our internal operational teams you are a true partner and trusted advisor.


    • For North America, you work closely together with our strategic partner WideOrbit.


    • You report directly to the Managing Director.


    You have over 10 years’ experience in the media business, preferably on an international level, selling high-value and complex software solutions.


    • You are a real hunter, driven by working in the international media business.


    • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A true diplomat and good listener, you easily build new contacts and turn them into valuable long term relationships.


    • You are used to managing channel sales partners such as system integrators and you are familiar with intricate purchasing and decision procedures in complex business structures.


    • Thanks to your experience you master all business development & sales techniques. As a natural sales talent you listen, advise, present, convince, reason and negotiate at top level.


    • You are willing to travel extensively to visit prospects and customers in Latin America, the United States & Canada. Flexibility is a prerequisite.


    • You are result-oriented, always aiming for the win-win. • You are proficient in English and Spanish, both spoken and written. Mastery of Portuguese is an asset!
