    Octagon Talent Solutions is a full service technology recruitment and staffing agency located in the heart of South Florida. Our clients are mid-sized to large Fortune 100 organizations and unicorn tech startups looking for talent in Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. You will source, recruit, coordinate, assess technical acumen, negotiate salary, and work as a liaison on behalf of hiring managers and talented candidates to fill respective technical open positions with any given client across all industries.

    Responsibilities

    • As a full service technical recruiter, you will work with top clients to understand their hiring needs and recruit top talent for their open positions
    • Confer with senior client leadership to identify personnel hiring needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments
    • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified IT, cloud, big data, marketing, and web development professionals
    • Leverage online recruiting resources and our in-house database to identify and recruit the very best candidates – within budget
    • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
    • Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about our client companies and job descriptions
    • Prescreen candidates by telephone or in-person by using behavioral based interviewing methodologies and targeted questioning
    • Manage and coordinate all communication with candidates
    • Call qualified candidates for an in-person interview to assess work history, previous performance, and technical acumen
    • Manage the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers
    • Prepare candidates for interviewing with client companies and specific hiring managers by providing detailed information on the company, their business strategy, department background, job descriptions, and expectation-setting
    • Organize, lead and document post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and candidates
    • Review the hiring manager’s interview performance with each candidate and take appropriate action when warranted
    • Perform detailed reference checking and/or reference analysis on selected candidates and review results with hiring managers
    • Extend offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within the guidelines of client company compensation policy

    Qualifications

    • 1 year+ consultative sales/solutions-based sales experience necessary
    • Technologically savvy in fields of Information Technology / MIS / Computer Science / Finance / Big Data
    • Experience working with ATS systems (PCRecruiter, Taleo, Bullhorn, Salesforce, ICIMS or the like) or CRM programs (Salesforce)
    • Excellent Internet researching abilities (You will be using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Dice, Indeed, CareerBuilder, Monster, Ladders, etc.)
    • Outstanding communication, composure under high-pressure sales situations, and professionalism when representing candidate, client, and the firm
    • A dedication to building long-term business relationships in the South Florida market

      Required education:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

      • Utilize ICIMS Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in order to track and document candidate communication and recruitment workflows
      • Follows required process for candidate onboarding into ICIMS ATS
      • Creates realistic job description from received set of formally written requirements
      • Matches candidates to the job on ICIMS ATS to track job order workflow
      • Takes notes of during or after a conversation
      • Documents notes and comments on most recent copy of candidate resume (noting salary progression, years of technical experience, geographical preferences, & other need-to-know-information)
      • Examine database of candidates on a proactive basis in preparation for new job orders
      • Proactively source new candidates for in-demand skillsets
      • Identifies and follows up on all leads
      • Shows a dedication to preserving organizational memory, the collective ability to store and retrieve knowledge and information
      • Avoids unnecessary correspondence
      • Maintains current records
