    Octagon Technology Staffing is searching for a Full Stack Developer that enjoys building enterprise and consumer web/mobile applications! This is a direct hire role with one of our most eclectic clients to work for in S Florida! Work in a fun, creative and challenging environment where every project will bring different challenges to solve. The ideal candidate will be proficient in front-end and back-end technologies and have experience developing web-based applications for use by both enterprise customers and the general public. If you are a self-motivated, innovative problem solver who thinks smart and enjoys collaborating with a small dev team, you will thrive in this position


    • Build rich Internet web applications
    • Design databases
    • Participate in quality assurance testing
    • Address performance and scalability challenges
    • Work in an agile and fast paced environment


    • BS in Computer Science degree (or similar degree)
    • 2+ years developing object-oriented web software with PHP 5 or newer
    • 2+ years experience with a JavaScript and CSS Framework (AngularJS, Node.js, Bootstrap, etc)
    • 1+ years of experience designing relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
    • Proven history of developing web-based applications preferably used by the general public with high traffic volume
    • Web presentation technologies:
      • XHTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, CSS3 and cross-browser compatibility
    • Web Services: SOAP and REST
    • Experience working with MVC and OOP design patterns
    • PHP frameworks (Zend Framework 2+)
    • Version control systems: Subversion and Git
    • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
    • Self-motivated and able to work in a small team with minimal supervision
    • Good communication and organizational skills
    • Additional Experience a Plus:

      • Agile, lean, or similar development methodologies/experience
      • Experience with NoSQL (Mongo, Couchbase Cassandra, etc.)
      • Understanding Web Application Security (OWASP)
      • WordPress
      • Mobile app development
      • Developing responsive websites
      • Software design patterns
      • Search technologies and UI innovations
