    Octagon Technology Staffing has an exciting contract to hire opportunity for a DMS Financial Systems Manager in the automotive industry! The ideal candidate will assist the Director of Dealer Management System with all maintenance and upgrades to the CDK DMS. This will also include reviewing of CDK release notes, coordination of testing within the IT and Shared Services Center teams, while communicating security concerns regarding the releases to the IT Secrurity Manager.must be flexible and

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee all DMS facets of dealerships general ledger setups, projects, and department personnel to include chart of accounts, schedules, sales chains, accounting journals, vehicle inventory systems, etc.
    • assist in projects prioritization with business sponsor and other departments
    • assist with other departments with an understanding of the general ledger structure
    • assist with companies' cleanup/maintenance ont he DMS
    • assist with yearly audits of the DMS for both Internal and External audits
    • assist with verification for the projects that involve the DMS
    • answer questions from store and copany personnel regarding CDK DMS
    • assist with accounting maintenance required to adhere to manufacturer's and company's modification
    • establish and maintain working relationships with team, vendors, sponsors, and internal customers to ensure effective workflow and continuous improvements within financial systems
    • provide end user support including answering technical questions and supporting detailes analysis
    • continuously improve processed to minimize costs and increase transparency
    • deliver training programs designed to enhance user and team skills
    • perform daily support thru service manager administration
    • ensure data integrity including validation checks against source and worked performed
    • must be flexible and adaptable to change

    Qualifications

    • min 5 years of management or supervisory experience
    • demonstrated ability to identify and execute process improvement initiatives with successful results
    • ability to translate business requirements to technical solutions
    • strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint
    • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends
    • Knowledge of project management principles
    • dealership experience
    • exposure to CDK DMS system
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, or Accounting
